The Story Behind our Blankie Passion
My daughter and I both grew up tapping, stroking, and loving almost into oblivion that silky, satiny binding around the edge of our cherished blankies.
My daughter’s blankie was like a second daughter to me. “Blankie” accompanied my daughter everywhere – especially to cuddle with as she slept. Heart stopping drama ensued when as a bitty girl my daughter misplaced “Blankie” at a family party, where a full scale family search and rescue mission slammed into action to find the precious missing blankie. And later, a trip to the movies resulted in “Blankie” slipping away from us again. With a rush trip back to the theater my daughter and I almost burst into tears when we saw “Blankie” lying so alone behind the snack stand counter!
